Mike Vick signs with the Eagles

All I can say is I am glad the Lord is in the bussiness of forgiveness and second chances. The Philadelphia Eagles signed Mike Vick to a 2 year deal. There was no doubt in my mind whether or not a team would sign him. The question always was, is there 32 Qb's in the NFL better than Vick? I don't think so! This is just a temp job while he gets back in NFL shape and game speed. I hope he learned his lesson because its football season, and its time to move on.

Prosperity Preahers

I am amazed at all the gossip that goes on, in and outside the church community about what kind of lifestyle the pastor is living off of the church's money. The public is watching to see what kind of steward we are with our blessings. If we are prosperous, then we should not only set the example of how to spend it, but how to conduct ourselves with it. I will stand up and say that the doctrine of holiness is far more appropriate than the doctrine of prosperity now. Judge for yourself, tell me what you think.

Should we financially support our pastor

It amazes me how stingy people in the church are. The church mom said to me the other day, "black people don't build big churches cuz they wont give, especially Baptist churches." I found that funny, however true. In my path to be a pastor, i always in vision building the big church with all the amenities for the people. However, I am just 1 man with a dream. I wonder what kind of sheep the Lord will bless me with to accomplish such a task. Pastors appreciation is a big deal in the Black churches, but the bonus does not always reflect the 24/7 phone calls, counseling sessions, funerals,weddings, hours of sermon prep, and the mis-appreciated lifestyle. I know sometimes you just dont have it, but when the offering is for the pastor, please consider the sacrifice he makes to be your Sheppard. Remember the scripture says in Gal 6:6...... Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor. Obama's health care reform

President Obama is trying to get a socialist medical plan passed before congress and the senate go to break. It is a rush job to say the least. As I have stated before on many occasions, Canada has a socialist medical plan and it does not work very well. The Gov't needs to repair social security before they can repair all the other socialism in this country that has failed. Yes, I will be the first to admit I need medical care, but at what cost to the taxpayer. It is reported that it will be cheaper to drop your private insurance and take the Gov't sponsered plan. Oh boy, wait till Wal-Mart finds out about this!

Micheal Jackson, did he go to heaven or hell?

Did Micheal Jackson go to heaven or hell is the question. I am not going to cast a judgment on him because I don't have the right to. I think this is a wake up call for all of humanity. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 9:27, " it is appointed for every man to die once." We have to quit taking for granted that we are going to live forever. We are not invincible, and all of us are going to have to give a account of ourselves and stand judgment. Yes even Jackson has stood judgment and his judgment is already cast. He had everything this world had to offer, but if he did not have Christ, what difference does it make. He came into this world with nothing, and he went out with nothing, unless he left with his salvation. What good is it for a man to gain the world and loose his soul, as stated in Mathew 16. I hope he understood the Gospel which is the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. His mother is a Jehovah's Witness and I wonder if his heart was in that heresy. What is for sure is, If Christ was not his savior, he has a HOT problem. When you wake up on the other side, you will either say glory, or ouch!

The Jewish Conspiracy

It never ceases to amaze me that in this day and time there are still nut cases running around tripping off the Jewish conspiracy. Let me state for the record, I am not Anti -Semitic before I continue with my statement. I always have wondered how it is, years after World War Two, there are people who still have this hate for the Jews. I have heard much about the Jewish conspiracy. How is it, a WW2 veteran who faught against the Nazi's, was embracing white supremict views 40 years later. The tragedy is this nut killed a black security gaurd with no regard of this man being a father of a 12 year old boy. Why wasn't this man on some type of watch list? Turns out he had already done time for trying to take hostages at the fedreal reserve because he thought the Jews had some money conspiracy or something. White supremacy should be taken much more seriously. Dont these people realize we are blessed by the way we treat the Jews. Racism is sick, and I am appauled that in this day and time we still have skin heads and klansmen running around a civilized country. Let me refer you to scripture, Galatians 2:14 NLT, "For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us." I have heard references made to how the Jews run Hollywood, and how they control the banking secto,r and that all the major earning comedians are jewish, for example Adam Sandler, Gary Shandelin, Letterman and the list goes on. I have no problem with it, I just figure they like comedy just like Black folks. I dont think we will ever solve the palestinian issue in isreal and i think Amerca should stop medaling in what God has prophecied. Just my 2 cents.

Gay Marriage Being Compared to Civil Rights

I am very upset with the homosexual movement trying to compare gay rights to civil rights. I am even more ticked off that the naacp has not lobbied against this. Let me state for the record, homosexuality is a choice and it is a self inflicted opression. This means the discrimination that homosexuals experience, can be avioded if they would accept that the Christian movement in America is not going to stand for any Adam and Steve rulings from the court, or in the political parties of this country. How dare they attempt to say that their push against discrimination is like that of blacks in the civil rights movement. Might I say that I have not heard of one case where a homosexual has been hung from a willow tree, and his penis cut off and stuck in his mouth. Let me refer you to the scripture, Romans 1:26-27 NLT, "Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved". After examining this scripture, you can probably understand why I dont have any sympathy for their cause. Marriage is a covenant between God, a man and his wife. If you are not a Christian, i would suggest a civil union done at the court house. Only the Church should be able to perform a marriage. Any clergy that would perform any homosexual marriage is with no doubt, not a man of God. If it is about the rights, then a civil union by a government party should be suffcient.

Christian Dating

Christian dating baffles me. i can hardly comprehend how so many Christians are dating in the church, with no intentions of tying the knot. I ask myself, when did casual dating and casual sex become a icon in Christian culture? A more controversial question would be how did this happen? I believe that i am lucky, Christianity has dealt me a blow of isolation, and for me this is good. 1 Cor 7:9. " but if they cannot exercise self control, let them marry. For it is far better to marry than to burn with passion" . Yes, i admit it, i am burning, however my true quest for the clean temple so the Holy Spirit may dwell in it, has a hotter flame.

The evil credit card companies

It was big news today that president Obama is going to pass some very strict regulation on the credit card companies. i beleive if he really wants to do something, he can restore the chapter 7 bankruptcy laws back to what they were prior to the Bush administration changing the laws knowing this mortgage crisis was comming. Does'nt the president know what the Bible says about debt and it being forgiven after seven years. Americans dont just need him to regulate industries, but why not put the power back in the hands of the individual to make his own clean start with his creditor, just as GM and Chrysler have the right to do in a chapter 7.

Inaugural Post

This is my inaugural entry. I am just pondering, the fact that another major bank is on the verge of collapse. Do the officials of BOFA and Citi not realize that the wrath of God is upon them. There comes a time when your money just doesn't amount to anything, no matter how much of it you have. Perhaps they should look back at Pharaoh and see what a hard heart and and disregard for the God that is responsible for your wealth will do to you in your prideful state! Perhaps repentance and humility will fix the problem in the banking sector. Just my two cents. (NLT Job 15:31) "Let them no longer fool themselves by trusting in empty riches, for emptiness will be their only reward".
