Prosperity Preahers

I am amazed at all the gossip that goes on, in and outside the church community about what kind of lifestyle the pastor is living off of the church's money. The public is watching to see what kind of steward we are with our blessings. If we are prosperous, then we should not only set the example of how to spend it, but how to conduct ourselves with it. I will stand up and say that the doctrine of holiness is far more appropriate than the doctrine of prosperity now.  Judge for yourself,  tell me what you think.

I remember the Jimmy swaggert scandal, the Jim Baker scandal and a few others during that time era. They were pitiful at best. Pastor, History seems to repeat itself time and time again. It's just a matter of time before we hear of another doing acts of impropriety's. It's within the Catholic religion as well with inappropriate sexual behavior with the flock and the parishioners thirst for redemption through secret relationships thinking it may lead to a front row seat in Heaven. The gawl of the people empowered to control the direction of so many lives under the guise of The Lord is really a travesty to themselves and their flock. Money, secret relations, and all that flash is not Heavenly at all. I believe it to be the work of the devil. People hear what they want. If that connection is not made through the heart sincerely to the Lord, then it's not a connection to God. It's another example of greed, deceit, and downright low and despicable to use the Bible as a tool to gain monetary wealth. All have their judgment day before them, and God doesn't wear a Rolex watch at the pearly gates my friend. Great topic for discussion Pastor Clafleur.

As I have said before, I am glad God is in the biz of forgiveness and blessings. Jim Baker is back stronger than ever. Redemption is there for those who choose to ask for it. You are right, God wont be at the Gate with a rolex it is safe to say.
